  • Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (payment processing, hosting, analytics)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process
  • Protection: To protect the rights, property, and safety of Mondovo, our users, or others

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services. We may also retain and use your information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

7. WhatsApp Business Platform & Meta Integrations

When you choose to connect WhatsApp Business or another Meta service (such as Facebook Lead Ads or Meta Ads) to your Mondovo account, additional data is processed through Meta's platforms. This section explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can delete it.

7.1 What We Collect Through Meta Integrations

  • Business owner identifiers: when you authorize Mondovo through Meta's Embedded Signup, we receive your Meta user ID, the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID you selected, the phone number ID associated with it, and the access token Meta issues so we can send and receive messages on your behalf.
  • End-customer messages: when someone messages your WhatsApp Business number, we receive the message content, the sender's WhatsApp phone number (in E.164 format), their profile name if Meta provides it, any media they attach, and the timestamp. The same applies when our AI assistant or you reply through Mondovo — outbound messages are sent via Meta and we store a copy.
  • Delivery and quality signals: Meta sends us delivery, read, and failure callbacks for messages we send, plus your WABA's messaging tier and quality rating.
  • Template approval data: for any message template you submit through Mondovo, we receive Meta's approval, rejection, or pause status plus any review comments Meta provides.

7.2 Why We Process This Data

  • To route customer messages from WhatsApp into your Mondovo dashboard so you (and any teammates you authorize) can see and respond to them.
  • To let Mondovo's AI assistant respond to your customers using context from your website (within the WhatsApp 24-hour customer service window, as Meta requires).
  • To trigger automation recipes you've configured (booking reminders, review requests, follow-up drips) over WhatsApp.
  • To display delivery status and quality metrics in your dashboard so you understand how your WhatsApp account is performing.

7.3 Sharing With Meta and Coexistence

All WhatsApp message traffic flows through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform — Meta is both the transport layer and the regulator of message content rules. By using this integration you accept that Meta processes the same data we do for delivery, anti-abuse, and policy enforcement under their own WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Privacy Policy.

If you enable Coexistence(the default), your existing WhatsApp Business app on your phone continues to work on the same number alongside Mondovo's integration. In that mode, messages you send from your phone are mirrored into our system so the conversation history in your dashboard stays in sync. You can disable Coexistence in your WhatsApp settings at any time, in which case the API stops mirroring phone-sent messages and only API-sent messages appear in the dashboard.

7.4 Retention

WhatsApp conversation history (messages, sender phone numbers, profile names) is retained for as long as your Mondovo account is active and your WhatsApp connection remains configured. If you disconnect WhatsApp from a site or close your Mondovo account, we delete the associated message history within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain specific records (e.g. financial transactions linked to a WhatsApp-triggered booking).

7.5 Deleting Your Meta-Sourced Data

Two ways to request deletion of data we hold under your Meta authorization:

  • Through Meta: remove Mondovo from your authorized apps at facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations. Meta will notify us automatically through our Data Deletion Callback at/api/meta-data-deletionand you'll receive a confirmation code with a status URL where you can verify deletion progress.
  • Directly: email privacy@mondovo.comwith your WABA ID or phone number; we'll confirm deletion within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information (including Meta-sourced data — see Section 7.5)
  • Object to or restrict processing of your information
  • Request portability of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
